Our Client manufactures, installs and services industrial cranes and hoisting equipment for the manufacturing, automotive, mining and transport industries, and is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated licensed Electrician from an industrial back ground.
Reporting to the service manager, you are responsible for adhering to safety procedures, carrying out regular servicing and breakdowns, both independently and as part of the team to our clients.
Although based in Thomastown, candidates mainly work in the metropolitan area focusing on the North and west of Melbourne however clients range to the south and east and should be prepared to work away 1-2 days in regional Victoria.
It is imperative you have a previous history of completing relevant paperwork, participating in training sessions and communicating any issues.
Some overtime may be required and may include weekends. You will also be required to participate in a roster for after hours call outs.
To be considered for this role you would need to be experienced in the Service and Maintenance of Cranes or similar industry, have a good mechanical aptitude and be able to work at heights.
The ability to work independently and / or part of a small team, with a strong focus on safety is essential
A good command of written and spoken English is required as is the ability to converse effectively with customers and provide written reports and correspondence as needed.
Basic computer skills are an Advantage as well as the ability to read from drawings.
